San Francisco RIA Boosts Investments Arm

Intellectus Partners has expanded its investment team with two senior hires. Ben Emons has joined as chief economist, head of credit and portfolio manager, while Brian Zeck has been appointed as vice president of new products and services. They will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles, CA, office - opening soon - and in San Francisco, CA, respectively. Both will report to the company’s chief executive, David La Placa. Emons has spent around 22 years as an analyst, trader, portfolio manager and economist. Of note, he spent time working with renowned fixed income expert Bill Gross at PIMCO. Other roles he has held were at ABN Amro , IndyMac and Nuveen . Zeck was previously managing director of the fixed income mutual fund, Leader Capital, where he ran business development. At Intellectus, he will be focused on ultra high net worth and family office clients. Intellectus was launched in July of 2015 through Dynasty to serve entrepreneurs, corporate executives and their families.
